A richly detailed Meiji period Imari porcelain plate (circa 1868–1912), hand-painted in a refined palette of iron red, soft greens, deep cobalt, and black. This round plate features a central vignette of traditional Japanese architecture framed by stylized waves, surrounded by alternating panels of birds perched among bamboo and blossoming flora. Each section is bordered in the signature red “imperial brocade” style, with scrolling gold and lattice detailing.

The composition is balanced, elegant, and full of symbolic imagery—birds representing longevity and harmony, and the architectural scene evoking peaceful domestic life.
