An elegant 18th-century French walnut commode dating to the Louis XV period, circa 1750, featuring graceful serpentine lines, richly patinated walnut, and finely cast bronze hardware.
The shaped case displays the classic bombe silhouette prized in French Rococo furniture, with softly curved sides and a beautifully contoured facade that create movement and refinement from every angle. Three generously proportioned drawers are adorned with ornate bronze pulls and escutcheons, complementing the warmth and depth of the aged walnut surface.
Exceptional wear and patina throughout reflect centuries of use, giving the piece an authenticity and character that cannot be replicated. The hand-worked construction, elegant proportions, and sculptural profile exemplify the craftsmanship associated with fine 18th-century French furniture.
Equally compelling in traditional, European-inspired, or layered modern interiors, this commode functions beautifully as a statement chest in a bedroom, entryway, dining room, or salon.
A timeless and sophisticated piece offering both practical storage and enduring decorative appeal.
