This stunning scalloped edge Imari plate is a fine example of late Edo period porcelain craftsmanship. Expertly hand-painted in traditional Imari hues of iron red, deep cobalt, and soft gilt accents, the design features a central floral urn framed by a foliate border interspersed with reserves of chrysanthemums and phoenixes.
