A rare and remarkable example of early English stoneware, this Spode footed fruit bowl features the vivid and highly collectible Willis Indian Tree pattern. Made circa 1840, the hand-colored transferware design showcases stylized flowering branches, delicate butterflies, and bright Eastern-inspired florals in rich hues of pink, cobalt, yellow, and green.
Resting on a raised pedestal base, this large oval bowl has sweeping side handles, gently flared edges, and a beautifully contoured form—making it ideal for a centerpiece, serving bowl, or statement display.
