A refined example of 19th-century French ironstone, this soup tureen from the Service Louisan line by A&Cie features a lovely scrolling green floral transferware design and sculptural handles. The subtle shell motifs and classic footed silhouette speak to its Louisan styling, making it a statement piece on any table or sideboard.
Marked “A&Cie Terre de Fer”, this piece was produced in eastern France and reflects the fine craftsmanship of faïence makers of the period.
Please note: There is a tight hairline visible inside the bowl (pictured) and light age wear consistent with antique use. Still structurally sound and display-worthy — and perfect for decorative storage, florals, or as part of a larger collection of French ironstone.
