French Rococo Giltwood Mirror with Cherub Crest

 A tall French Rococo-style mirror with a softly shaped gilt frame, beaded inner molding, and a wonderful hand-carved crest of two cherubs amid flowers, ribbons, and scrolling foliage. The aged, rubbed gilding gives it that mellow old-gold patina everybody wants instead of shiny “hotel lobby Versailles.” Beautiful over a chest, vanity, or in a powder room.
