Chinese Export Porcelain Monogrammed Tureen with Lid

A fine example of Chinese Export porcelain, this large covered tureen dates to the 19th century and features hand-painted decoration in cobalt blue with delicate gilt accents. The domed lid is surmounted by a knop finial and decorated with shield motifs, garlands, and floral sprays, all executed in the refined style prized by European collectors.

Twin loop handles, also highlighted in blue and gilt, flank the gently rounded body, which is further embellished with crest-like cartouches and decorative borders. Pieces of this scale and condition were often commissioned for export to Europe and remain highly collectible today.

Both functional and decorative, this tureen makes a striking centerpiece for a dining table, sideboard, or display cabinet.
