This beautifully detailed Spode soup bowl features the classic Willis Indian Tree pattern, showcasing stylized florals and winding branches in a rich, earthy palette. With its wide rim and gently sloped bowl, it was designed for elegant service and everyday durability.

Marked “Stockton Trent Spode” on the reverse, this piece was likely produced in the late 19th to early 20th century, when Spode’s Stoke-on-Trent pottery works continued the Indian Tree tradition in refined Stone China.

Collector’s Note:
The “Stockton Trent Spode” mark refers to the historic pottery town of Stoke-on-Trent, often stylized on older wares. Spode used various backstamps over time, and slight differences can help date pieces within a broader range. This particular mark is consistent with wares produced between the 1880s and early 1900s, continuing the legacy of their earlier 19th-century designs.
