Fall Is Coming to Round Top...and I Couldn’t Be More Excited

There is a moment before every Round Top show when I walk into The White Barn, look around at everything we have gathered, moved, unpacked, styled, restyled, moved again, and occasionally argued over...and think:

I cannot believe we get to do this.

And Fall 2026 is almost here.

Save the Dates: October 17–31, 2026

For two glorious weeks, The White Barn at The Compound will once again be filled with antiques, art, beautiful things, wonderful people, and all the delightful chaos that makes Round Top unlike anywhere else in the world.

And I am so ready.

Every show feels different.

There are pieces we have searched months, or sometimes years, to find. Things discovered in little shops, warehouses, markets, barns, and places you would absolutely drive past if you didn’t know better.

French furniture with generations behind it.

Italian pieces that seem incapable of being boring.

Beautiful old lighting.

Garden antiques.

Silver.

Art.

Objects with strange little stories.

And then there are those completely ridiculous, completely wonderful things that nobody actually needs…

…until you see one sitting in your house and suddenly cannot imagine how you ever lived without it.

Those are usually my favorites.

This Is the Part I Love Most

People sometimes think antique dealers spend most of their time elegantly wandering through European markets pointing at beautiful things.

I would like to preserve that illusion.

The reality involves containers, measurements, customs paperwork, forklifts, missing hardware, dirt, sweat, questionable packing decisions and an extraordinary amount of moving very heavy furniture.

And then something magical happens.

The doors open.

You walk in.

And suddenly all of it makes sense.

Someone spots a piece from across the barn and practically runs toward it.

A designer finds exactly what she has been searching for.

Someone buys their first real antique.

Someone else finds something they never knew they were looking for.

Friends wander in and stay half the afternoon.

Champagne appears.

Stories are told.

Furniture gets rearranged.

And for two weeks, The White Barn becomes this wonderful little world of its own.

That is Round Top to me.

Come See What We Found

This fall, I want you to come wander.

Come slowly.

Open drawers.

Look underneath tables.

Ask us where something came from.

Sit in the chair.

Hold the silver.

Look at the back of the painting.

And please...if you fall hopelessly in love with something...do not tell yourself you will “come back later.”

This is Round Top.

There is a very good chance another woman has already photographed it and sent the picture to her husband with the words:

“I bought this.”

Round Top rewards decisiveness.
